Switzerland
This Switzerland travel blog is a repository of all the blogs I have written on the destination.
Just like most Indians, travelling Switzerland was high on my list too, naturally, it was the first destination I ever travelled in Europe – other than the United Kingdoms where I studied, but I never count it in my list of countries travelled.
So yea, Switzerland remained my first country as I booked a return flight ticket from Delhi to Zurich during my 2 months backpacking trip to Europe a few years ago.
Other than the popular Zurich, I have explored a few other places in the country, including the Alps, the town of Basel and Lucerne. In the Alps, I covered the popular destination of Mount Titlis in the Uri Alps. Located between the cantons of Obwalden and Bern, Mount Titlis is located at over 3,000 metres above sea level. You can read more about it in the Switzerland travel blog shared below.
Switzerland is moreover the country where I tried Couchsurfing for the first time (here is the youtube video of it).
Though many people say that Swiss people can be a little cold at times, I found them very friendly and fun-loving. Yes, you cannot compare them with the neighbour Italians when it comes to small-talk, but they’re certainly not cold – and I can say so from my solo travel and Couchsurfing experiences.
Now let’s get to the already written Switzerland Travel blog below and learn more about my personal experiences there.
For the majority of Indians, the first fascination when it comes to travelling Europe remains the country of Switzerland. And in Switzerland, the capital city of Zurich. To make the trip interesting they keep a day or two for the Alps. And that’s what we are going to discuss in this 4-day itinerary for Zurich: […]

Since Basel is tucked away on the northern edge of the country and doesn’t fall on the regular Geneva-Bern-Lucerne-Zurich route, it is often avoided by tourists. But speaking of my first impression of Basel, as I happened to explore it during a 3-day blog trip with Basel Tourism, I found it undoubtedly charming and a

For Mount Titlis, a day trip from Zurich is a great idea! Switzerland, for Indians, has always been a favorable tourist attraction. For us, it’s a country to skip big towns, wander off the highway across the countryside, and experience those unforgettable Bollywood movie sequences we’ve grown up watching. From Sangam to Dilwale Dulhania Le

For Indians travelling to Europe, Switzerland remains one of the favorite locations. I remember when I planned for my first Europe trip, back in 2017, something similar happened. It was a 58-day backpacking trip in Europe and I chose Zurich as my starting point. I covered 8 countries in 7 days out of which most

With museums galore, an emerald green river, and an old-world European charm, Basel in Switzerland indeed makes an appealing stopover. After spending a fortnight in the heart of Lazio, in Italy, while living with a Roman family and experiencing their way of life, as I left the country and started heading north, my preconceived, seemingly

As I stepped out of the airport, to spend 24 hours in Zurich and have my first Couchsurfing experience, I was more sceptical than ever. I was under the impression that a Couchsurfing experience in Zurich may feel sterile, bounded by house rules (because Dutch people can be strict with rules sometimes) but it wasn’t
